The challenge

The team ran the business out of a stack of spreadsheets and a shared inbox. Customer details lived in one file, invoices in another, and delivery status was whatever someone remembered to write down. Things slipped through the cracks, and answering a simple customer question meant opening four files and asking two coworkers.

What we built

• Delivery tracking that follows each order from placed to out for delivery to delivered

How we approached it

We sat with the team and watched how they actually worked before writing any code. We mapped the path an order takes from first call to final delivery, then built the system around that path instead of forcing the team to change how they sell. We shipped a working version early and adjusted it with their feedback every week.

The business now runs from one place instead of a stack of spreadsheets. Anyone on the team can answer a customer question in seconds, invoices go out on time, and nobody loses track of a delivery. The owners spend less time chasing paperwork and more time on the work that grows the business.
