QuickBooks POS replaced with a modern system.
We replaced an end-of-life QuickBooks point of sale with a modern checkout and inventory system.
The challenge
The shop relied on QuickBooks Point of Sale, which had reached end of life and would no longer receive updates or support. Checkout was slow at busy times, inventory counts drifted from reality, and the team faced a hard deadline to move off software that was being retired.
What we built
- A fast checkout that rings up a sale in a few taps
- Inventory that updates in real time as items sell
- A clear order screen that shows line items, quantities, and the running total
- Reporting that shows what is selling and what is sitting on the shelf
- Receipt printing and the payment flow the staff use every day
- A migration that carried products and history over from the old system
How we approached it
We learned how the shop actually sells, from a quick single item to a full basket, and built the checkout to match. We replaced the retiring software before its deadline so the business never had a gap. We trained the staff on the new screens and stayed close through the first busy days.
The outcome
Checkout is quicker and the line moves faster at the busy times. Inventory counts reflect what is really on the shelf, so the team orders with confidence. The shop is off retired software and on a system built around how it actually sells, with room to add to it later.
What powers it
- A checkout flow tuned for speed at the register
- Real-time inventory that stays in step with sales
- Reliable receipt printing and payment handling
- Reporting that turns daily sales into clear numbers
- A clean migration of products and sales history
- A modern foundation that is supported and easy to extend
